Why Roomcy exists
In most small and mid-sized Indian towns, finding a room or PG still means asking a broker, scrolling through WhatsApp groups, or calling a landlord's neighbour to check if a room is really available. It works, eventually — but it's slow, the information is often outdated, and brokers routinely charge a fee for information that should be free to check yourself.
Roomcy started in Jharkhand with a simple goal: let a renter see real, current listings — real photos, the actual rent, the actual deposit — without paying a broker to find out. And let a landlord list a room, talk to interested renters directly, and keep track of rent payments, without juggling WhatsApp screenshots and a notebook.
We're still early — Roomcy is growing city by city, starting with our own home region, rather than claiming to be everywhere at once. If you're a landlord or renter in a city we haven't reached properly yet, listing or searching still works; you'll just find fewer rooms until more landlords in your area join.
